GOING INTO ORBIT: SATELLITTE TV MEANS THE SKY'S THE LIMIT
DIOCESAN TV MINISTRY LAUNCHES SATELLITE CAMPAIGN
With the arrival of spring, we launch an ambitious campaign designed to create the largest expansion of our live Mass telecast in its 20-year history.
We're calling it "Going Into Orbit: The Sky's The Limit!," and we believe the theme is an accurate reflection of what our campaign is all about.
Our primary goal for 2009 is to install a state-of-the-art satellite transmission system that would make our live Mass telecast available throughout the North American continent to any diocese that would like to provide our TV Mass via a local broadcast station or cable TV system.
There is also a possibility that one or more of the national cable TV networks may have an interest in such a venture. The end result is that our TV signal will be available to all who have a desire to access it.
We believe our volunteers are presenting the best live Mass telecast in the American Church and we want to share it with others! Millions of shut-ins throughout the nation are unable to receive a live telecast of the Sunday Mass. One of our goals is to reduce those numbers by making our Mass telecast available to as wide an audience as possible.
We've designed a novel approach to our fundraising campaign based on a concept directly related to the distance from our point of origination to the satellite high above the earth. We trust you will find the concept to be an intriguing one that will generate the support we will need to bring our plans to reality.

Many thanks for your prayers and support.
